This policy explains what The Altnets does with your details. It is short because we collect very little.

Who we are

The Altnets is a trading style of Proper Leads Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 12323725. Registered office: 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZA755016. Proper Leads Ltd is the data controller for this site.

What we collect

There are only two situations where this site collects anything about you.

• When you use the availability checker. We collect the postcode you type in and the address you pick from the list, which includes that address's UPRN (the unique property reference used to identify a building).
• When you request a call. We collect your name, email address and phone number, along with the address you selected.

There is no account and no login, so there is nothing else to collect.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking scripts of any kind. Our fonts are served from our own server rather than a font network, so no third party sees that you visited.

How your details are used

The postcode and address are used to look up which broadband networks reach that property. If you request a call, your name, email address and phone number are used to arrange that call and talk you through the deals available at your address.

Who we share it with

If you request a call, your details are passed to one of our broadband partners so they can contact you about deals at your address. That is the point of the form, and we say so on it.

Address lookups are carried out by Postcoder, an address data provider, acting as our processor. Availability results come from our own systems and from network coverage providers.

Legal basis

For the call request we rely on your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will stop. For running the availability checker itself we rely on legitimate interests: showing you which networks serve your address is the service you came here for, and it cannot be done without the address.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, then delete them. We review what we hold every [REVIEW PERIOD].

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• have inaccurate details corrected
• have your details erased
• ask us to restrict how we use them
• object to us using them
• receive them in a portable format, or have them sent to another organisation
• withdraw your consent to the call request at any time

If you are not happy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
