Who we are
The Altnets is a trading style of Proper Leads Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 12323725. Registered office: 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZA755016.
What this site does
The Altnets is an information and comparison service about UK alternative broadband networks. We explain how they work, profile the networks, and show you which ones reach a given address.
We do not sell broadband. If you take a deal, your contract is with the provider, not with us. Their terms, prices and service are theirs, and any dispute about them is between you and them.
How we make money
We may earn a commission when you sign up to a provider through our service. It never affects the price you pay, and it never affects what we write: providers cannot pay for better reviews, better placement, or to have accurate criticism removed. Networks we have no commercial relationship with are still profiled, because a partial map would defeat the point of the site.
Accuracy of prices and availability
Prices, speeds and contract terms are checked against live provider data and every page carries the date that check happened. At the time of writing that date is 28 July 2026. Provider pricing changes, sometimes at short notice, so the figures here are a guide and are not guaranteed. Always confirm the price and terms with the provider before you commit.
Coverage is decided address by address. The availability checker reflects the networks' own footprint data, which can be out of date or simply wrong for a specific property. A network showing as available is not a promise that it can be installed at your address, and a network missing from the list is not proof that it cannot.
Requesting a call
If you ask us to call you, we pass your name, email address, phone number and the address you selected to one of our broadband partners, who will contact you about deals at that address. You are under no obligation to buy anything. See our privacy policy for what we do with those details and how to withdraw your consent.
Acceptable use
Use the site for your own research. Do not scrape it, harvest data from it by automated means, republish it as your own, or do anything intended to disrupt the service or the systems behind it.
Intellectual property
The content of this site, including the written guides, comparisons and design, belongs to Proper Leads Ltd. Provider names and logos belong to their respective owners. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page you took them from.
Liability
The site is provided as is. We take real care over what we publish, but we are not liable for decisions you make on the basis of the information here, or for any loss arising from the site being unavailable or containing an error.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page. These terms were last updated on 27 July 2026.
