4th Utility: coverage and what to know

4th Utility is one of the UK's alternative networks, an independent full fibre operator built separately from Openreach. Apartment blocks, build-to-rent and managed developments across multiple UK cities rather than a single contiguous region.

We don't track live 4th Utility pricing yet4th Utility isn't currently in our availability checker, so we're not going to quote you prices or speeds we can't stand behind. For current packages, go direct to 4th Utility. If you want to know what we can price at your address today, the checker below covers every network we hold live data for.

What being on an altnet means

Like the other networks on this site, 4th Utility builds and owns its own fibre rather than renting Openreach lines. In practice that usually means full fibre to the property, faster upload speeds than copper-based packages, and pricing set independently of the big national brands. Our guide to what an altnet actually is covers the trade-offs, and altnets vs Openreach explains why the distinction matters more than the brand name.

Checking availability

Altnet coverage is decided street by street, not town by town, so two houses on one road can have different options. Our checker runs your exact address against every network we hold live coverage data for. If 4th Utility is your only local option, their own site is the place to go, and we'd rather tell you that than waste your time.

Are we missing something?

We add networks to our live pricing as we get access to reliable data. If you work at 4th Utility and want your packages priced and checked here properly, get in touch and we'll sort it.
