KCOM is one of the UK's alternative networks, an independent full fibre operator built separately from Openreach. Hull and East Yorkshire. The original UK independent network, and the reason Hull has never been an Openreach town.

What being on an altnet means

Like the other networks on this site, KCOM builds and owns its own fibre rather than renting Openreach lines. In practice that usually means full fibre to the property, faster upload speeds than copper-based packages, and pricing set independently of the big national brands. Checking availability

Altnet coverage is decided street by street, not town by town, so two houses on one road can have different options. If KCOM is your only local option, their own site is the place to go, and we'd rather tell you that than waste your time.
